Lasseters Hotel Casino hosts its first guests in new premium hotel rooms.
Another stage in Lasseters $35million redevelopment project has been completed with a brand new hotel wing housing 66 premium rooms and suites welcoming its first guests. Over 19 event organisers from around Australia who were part of the Alice Stampede famil group were the first to sample the rooms; one guest commented “The rooms are first class and the overall feel of the hotel was restful and friendly. The hotel is adjacent to the Alice Springs Convention Centre which makes it very convenient for business meetings.”
The CEO of Tourism NT, John Fitzgerald, said “Lasseters new wing is a welcome addition to the accommodation options available in Central Australia to holiday and business visitors alike. Its location is ideal for the burgeoning business events market in Alice. Quality accommodation and ease of access to venues are important factors for event organisers.”
Each of the rooms boast a king bed or twin queen bed configuration, free WiFi, 42inch LCD televisions, iPod dock, safety deposit box, fully stocked minibar, Austar and in-house movie options. The three premium suites are split level with the lounge and entertaining area downstairs and two separate bedrooms upstairs. The hotel wing will bring the total rooms at Lasseters to 205 ensuring the Alice Springs region can accommodate larger conferences.
The next stage of the development will see works to the new 180 seat restaurant followed by the new hotel reception, VIP gaming room and commercial gym in the near future.
