Lasseters Hotel Casino has produced a series of television commercials set to air in May - just in time to welcome the visitors to the Red Centre for iconic events such as the Finke Desert Race, Cup Carnival and Lasseters Cup Ball, and the Lasseters Camel Cup. The commercials also coincide with the July opening of Lasseters new VIP gaming room - the ‘Diamond Lounge’.

Two 30 second commercials were made as well as a 90 second online version.  Supporting the local community, Lasseters partnered with Imparja Television and were responsible for the filming and editing.  Talent was sourced from local Alice Springs residents, and local clothing store Rusty Zipper provided some of the wardrobe.

Melbourne-based rock band Chocolate Starfish, led by Alice Springs resident Adam Thompson, were commissioned to write and perform the theme song specifically for Lasseters. They also performed a free concert at the Juicy Rump, which was filmed and used in the finale to one of the commercials.

Chris Sartori, Chief Operating Officer is delighted with the result; “It was fantastic to be able to work with a great Australian band, Chocolate Starfish to produce a TV commercial that really captured what Lasseters is about – the Centre of Entertainment. We’re proud and excited to be able to showcase to the public what we have to offer at a time when our business is expanding with a range of new products and services. “

The commercials will be updated regularly as new facilities are completed as part of a $35 million redevelopment. Developments to come include a VIP gaming lounge (opening 2 July), a new 180 seat restaurant, commercial fitness & massage treatment centre, and new hotel lobby.
