Lasseters Hotel Casino $35 million dollar developments are well underway with the opening of their new resort style pool and display room.

The largest entertainment venue in Alice Springs commenced its $35 million developments in April last year and their new resort style pool is now open to all Hotel guests. The architecturally designed pool incorporates a 25 metre double lane lap pool with heating for all year round use. A spacious 8 seater spa and separate children’s pool with a purpose built shade structure ensures that the entire family can enjoy the resort style atmosphere. The pool area boasts a variety of pool and outdoor furniture to accommodate up to 150 guests and will be open for pool side functions and events later in the year.

In addition to the pool, a display room in the new 66 room accommodation block has been designed and is available for viewings on request. The new hotel rooms will feature artwork by local artist Marie Napurrula and have been designed with ecologically sustainable building practices to reduce energy consumption. The additional hotel rooms will ensure the Alice Springs region can accommodate larger conferences.

Lasseters Hotel Casino Chief Operating Officer Chris Sartori says “We are very excited with the opening of our new pool and we invite all of the Alice Springs community to our Pool Open Day on Saturday 28th January to take a look at the new facilities and enjoy a swim and free BBQ.”

Late 2011 saw the completion of external works including a sub-station, new laundry and facilities upgrade in the back of house areas. The existing Samphire Restaurant is to undergo renovations in the coming months and will be refurbished into a new 250 seat dining space with multi cuisine options and due to open late 2012.

The $35 million dollar development at the venue also encompasses a new hotel entrance, reception area and a VIP gaming room. Additionally there will be 120 additional car spaces, fully operational day spa, massage treatment and commercial gym facility.

There is also a dedicated development information area in the Hotel Lobby including replica models of the entire development project and continual updates will be available to the public. Log onto or the Lasseters Hotel Casino facebook page.
