Lasseters' Melbourne Cup Day raises $8,370 for Alice Springs RSPCA and Riding for the Disabled

Over 200 of Alice Springs' best-dressed dusted off their fascinators and frocked up for an afternoon of champagne and Melbourne Cup racing in the name of charity.

A mega charity auction with prizes donated by Alice Springs' and Northern Territory businesses raised a grand total of $8,370, which was donated to the Alice Springs RSPCA and Riding for the Disabled.

Lasseters Hotel Casino Chief Operating Officer, Chris Sartori says "The event's objective was twofold - to raise money and show our support for two fantastic Alice Springs charities and to provide an entertaining venue for our guests to enjoy their Melbourne Cup experience. The generosity of our community is outstanding and was once again demonstrated at this event."
